Some of Our Readers |
Located in the
capital city of India, the Bible Society has had the privilege to provide
the Bible to the President, Prime Minister and other dignitaries.
The late Prime Minister, Smt Indira Gandhi, once requested a copy of the Bible sometime close to midnight. When he was the President of India, Giani Zail Singh released the Punjabi Common Language Bible at the Rashtrapati Bhawan (the residence of the President of India). The Word of God has been widely distributed in Delhi, including hospitals and jails. A famous resident of Tihar Jail, Balbir Singh commented, saying that the Bible saved me when I was in jail. He said he could identify with Jesus, since he too had been accused unjustly. Readers of the Bible include the famous and infamous, the rich and the poor, the urbane and the rustic from all castes of society. They have found that the Bible is the ONE BOOK |
